My path to becoming a nurse began only a year ago. One of the reasons I've always wanted to be a nurse is that it seems like such a fulfilling profession. I have a wide range of options when it comes to pursuing a career in nursing. After graduating from college with a bachelor's degree in nursing, I plan to practise for a year before applying to a nurse anaesthesia programme. A nurse's job description can be interpreted in a variety of ways. Some adhere to a formal definition of the practice, while others believe it is more personal. My health coach for the term will be, I feel like we work well together and he can really help me realise some of my heath objectives that I made after doing my self-assessment. A nurse's ability to do their job well is directly correlated to their level of well-being. Stress is a significant issue that needs to be controlled. Being able to cope with the high levels of stress that nurses are subjected to is critical to their success as a nurse.
My mother has taken care of me since I was a baby. She loved her job as a nurse because she was dedicated to helping others. I don't recall my mum ever refusing to help someone in need. Although it's been years, I still recall both my maternal and paternal family members calling my mother when they were sick or hurt. She had a deep desire to help others, and she was adored by those she helped. As a nurse, I believe that a person is born with the ability to succeed. That desire to serve others is what makes a successful nurse. To be like my mother, I want to be a nurse since I enjoy working with others and spending time with people in general. I believe there is nothing more fulfilling than aiding someone in need. People appreciate your nursing services because you put the needs of others above your own, and the person you are caring for values this quality in others. In certain cases, nurses must remind themselves that even if patients don't appreciate their care right away, they will come to appreciate the work they have done for them down the road and will be grateful for their nurses in the future. That's one of the reasons I've decided to get into nursing as a profession.
I'd rather be a Registered Nurse (RN) than work in any other field in healthcare because I believe there are endless career opportunities for RNs. An RN can work with the elderly, children, or those who are critically ill, depending on their preference. Compared to other members of the medical profession, the opportunities for a nurse are virtually limitless, and I appreciate the fact that all nurses have a common set of obligations. To become a nurse anaesthetist, I must first earn a bachelor's degree and practise in an intensive care unit (ICU) for a year before I can return to school for a master's degree. To become a certified nurse, I'll need to pass the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX), therefore earning my BS will help me prepare. I couldn't have done as well on the test without my BS.
A nurse is much more than a person tasked with providing medical assistance to the sick. An excellent nurse is someone who cares about their patients and treats them with respect and dignity. A nurse is responsible for numerous things. Of course the most well-known is the general care they give to their patients. I believe that nurses are now stepping out of the doctor's shadow. These days, nurses are being hailed as individuals rather than part of a team alongside doctors and other health care providers. They've gained a lot more respect and authority in recent years, compared to when I was in school. As a licenced practical or vocational nurse, you're responsible for both treating your patients' symptoms and teaching them how to improve their overall health. Nursing care evaluation and patient discharge planning are both responsibilities of a registered nurse. An R.N. has a wide range of tasks, some of which include assessing the patient's condition, prescribing an appropriate prescription, and assessing the patient's response to that drug, as well as predicting the patient's result after treatment. It's no longer enough to just be a doctor or a nurse when it comes to caring for patients.

As a whole, I'm confident in my decision to pursue a career in nursing. The more I learn about the field and myself, the more I believe it will be a fulfilling career for me. So far, I've had a great time in my second semester of nursing school. At Elmira College, I feel like I have the opportunity to put all of my effort into becoming a wonderful nurse. In researching and writing this paper, I discovered a great deal of new knowledge about nursing that I had not previously known. There is so much to learn from this profession after writing this paper.
