During last few decades a remarkable change has taken place with regard to feed management practices of animals as a by-product of rapid technological advancement and urbanisation. Increased agriculture facilities and feed management practices have enabled famers and commercial enterprises to feed a large number of animals in a confined area. The issue of overfeeding or underfeeding is a major concern for feed producer around the world (Hristov, McAllister and Cheng. 2000). This is because; many of the recent studies have suggested that imbalance of nutrition in diet of animals may lead to overfeed nutrients such as phosphorus (P) and potassium (K). In this regard, it is important to minimize the content of such overfeeding while reducing the overall wastage of cattle food.
In the context of above issues and concerns of cattle feed management and feed formulation this paper aims at presenting a detailed plan, which would be taken into account for operationalising economics of a new enterprise (McCleary, 2001). In the context of this business plan, it is important to understand that feed management for cattle is a complex issue due to involvement of a number of factors including nutrient facts, waste management, containing overfeeding, intellectual property rights (IPRs) and so on.
