The investigation aims to evaluate and assess the promotion of oral health among oral health providers in the UK. The use of the theoretical domain frameworks and the capability, opportunity and motivation to perform a programme shall be useful to carry out the research and help in understanding it correctly. The research study will also aim to find out the different ways by which the oral health services can be promoted among the oral health providers and will reflect upon the information spread. The objective of the research study will be to demonstrate the different ways of providing oral health care services to the common people and to spread the awareness about the existing oral health care problems.
Issues about oral health are critical and hold significance in the UK society. Oral health and the dental problems associated with dental hygiene are the problems, which affects a considerable number of ordinary people in the UK (Patel et al., 2016). This problem has to be addressed by the responsible authorities and oral health providers. The health authorities and the various health organisations in the UK must pay attention and concentrate upon the problems and issues relating to the oral and dental health as it is of immense importance to everyone. The health authority of dental public health gets involved in reducing oral disease problems (Jin et al., 2016). The care trusts, which provide primary oral health service, have to face specific challenges to carry out their operations to eradicate oral health problems.
This project is of utmost importance because the numbers of oral health cases in the UK are on the rise and requires to be addressed by the concerned authorities. The significance in the project also lies in the fact that the oral health care providers must have the proper knowledge and must be trained to provide the services to the people suffering from oral care problems (Little et al., 2017). The project will also involve the different ways of operations of the oral health providers by which they execute their services to the public. The project will also throw light upon the different categories of oral health care facilities and services, which has to be provided by the care trusts and the health care bodies in the UK.
The research methods to be used to carry out the following research shall be the primary research method as well as a secondary research method (Bryman, 2016). The secondary research method will be used in executing the research about evaluating the promotion of oral health problems among the oral health providers in UK. The secondary research method will gather information from different sources such as journals, magazines, and articles. The secondary research method will help in finding the various ways by which oral health care problems can be improved upon. The research approach, which shall be followed, is the deductive approach and the research philosophy will be positivism. The research design is explanatory in nature.
The project is suitable and apt for a PhD because it caters to a social issue or problem, which affects the common people. The project related to the assessment of the oral health problems, which have to be promoted systematically to the oral health care providers is suitable as it helps to demonstrate the different ways and methods by which oral health care problems are provided. The different solutions to oral health care problems shall be thrown light upon, and it will help in improving oral health care in future (Kingma, 2018). As a PhD research project, this research study will help in reaching out to numerous people in making them aware about the oral and dental health problems existing around them. The various skills and the ways and methods of providing health care services can be studied and known about after PhD. The subject matter and the skills can be pursued post the PhD. Phase.
The cross-school health teams, cross-departmental health teams are critical and beneficial. They work in collaboration with the concerned health authorities to provide specific solutions to oral health and dental problems. Training provided by cross-departmental teams of PCT’S and NHS IN UK can help in spreading the different oral health-related training programmes to its employees. This will help oral health providers to provide specific services about the various oral and dental health problems. The collaboration of the different oral health care providers helps the cross-school and cross-functional teams to perform well. The cross-functional teams are thus effective in executing the different oral health care services to the people (Huang et al., 2016).
